Stone Solutions and Research Collective (S2RC) has joined the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) Trenching and Excavation Alliance, a collaborative effort focused on reducing and preventing hazards associated with trenching and excavation work across Arizona.
The Alliance establishes a framework for coordinated outreach, communication, training, and education activities intended to help employers and workers recognize and prevent trenching and excavation hazards, and better understand worker rights and employer responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
As part of the Alliance, participants intend to work toward objectives that include:
- Drafting an excavation training statute for the State of Arizona
- Developing and communicating hazard recognition and prevention information, with an emphasis on accessibility across multiple languages and formats
- Sharing safety and health guidance via websites, newsletters, and other communications channels
- Developing effective training and education programs, including on-site demonstrations and on-demand courses
An implementation team comprised of representatives from each organization will meet at least six times per year to coordinate activities and track results. The agreement is set for a two-year term.
ADOSH Alliances are voluntary cooperative relationships and do not constitute endorsement of any participant’s products or services.
